The homeowners for this project had worked with Richard Grafton and his team in the past and were a fan of his classic, contemporary signature interiors style. For this new brief the impressive family home in West Yorkshire needed a full redecoration including new furniture, accessories and cabinetry to refresh the space and bring the interiors up to date and reflect the way in which the owners lived.
The period property is situated within a beautiful countryside setting and features high ceilings, large bay windows, stunning wood flooring and feature fireplaces throughout. The owners were keen to maintain a classic and elegant feel that complemented the property’s architectural features as well as incorporating their love of all things Scottish. Our team was also keen to work with the style of the eclectic range of artwork in the home, as this was very personal and important to the owners.
The redecoration included the transformation of the grand hallway, morning room, sitting room, master bedroom and en-suite, guest bedroom, study and bathroom. Each room was designed to blend seamlessly with the next, whilst maintaining its own identity and purpose, from the botanical feel in the morning room, with its stunning feature wallpaper and pastel coloured log burner to the ‘country house’ boutique style in the master bedroom, complete with a perfectly placed seating and dressing table area, that makes the absolute most of the jaw dropping views.
Our in-house design and furniture manufacturing team created a number of new ‘built-in’ features including bespoke cabinetry, a staircase and storage to maximise all areas of the home and improve access. The design scheme included stunning textured wallpaper and fabrics and incorporated a number of leading and luxury interiors brands such as Porta Romana, GP&J Bakers, Zoffany, Mulberry, Bella Figura and Mark Alexander to revitalise the space and reflect the inspiring rural setting of the property.
