From a very early age the need to be creative was always a huge part of my life and I love that I’m surrounded by so much creativity here at Richard Grafton Interiors, in both the people I work with and the products that we stock. I trained as an actress and graduated from Birmingham School of Acting so like to think of myself as quite an outgoing person; performing in the West End isn’t for the faint-hearted! Although my career was focused on acting, interiors has been a passion of mine for many years and I’ve had the pleasure of working with a number of premium brands in London, Bristol and Harrogate. It’s so inspiring coming to work in such a beautiful showroom where everyone shares the same adoration for home design and luxury products.
I’d say that French interiors are a big inspiration in my work, as well as Georgian architecture. I love beautiful pieces that stand the test of time and have a bit of history behind them. My personal style is effortless Parisian glamour, I’m very drawn to period pieces when choosing furniture for my own home and have always loved looking round stately homes for inspiration.
Looking through the deliveries to the showroom to see the new stock and experiment with styling is one of my favourite tasks, it’s amazing how much difference fresh flowers can make to a room when they pick out colours in fabrics and furnishings. I’m a people-person, I love talking to clients about their projects and homes and the dynamic and diversity in the RG team, where we constantly share design ideas, opens up so many possibilities for our customers.
