With more than 25 years’ experience in the interior design industry and having originally trained as a fabric, wallpaper and embroidery designer at De Montfort University with subsequent training with The Royal Society of Arts and a leading archive wallpaper and fabric company, I have had the opportunity to work for some of the leading interior, fabric and furniture companies in the UK and worldwide as a designer, buyer and project manager.
I have to admit to an almost obsessive passion for all things interior, where fabric, pattern, colour, texture, scale and detailing are my focus. My own style and home could be said to be rather eclectic, from all the treasures I have gathered on my travels. I like to think of myself as very approachable and a great listener with an ability to establish my clients likes and dislikes in the early stages of the design process.
Each interior design project brings new research and I have the advantage of working in such a well-resourced environment, as well as working collaboratively with a team of highly creative and experienced interior, furniture and spatial planning designers which makes each project so rewarding. I often say I need many houses of my own to fulfil my numerous design ideas, but fortunately I have a lovely job that allows me to do that for others.
